Paul received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah in 1992 in Family and Consumer Studies. He graduated with his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1995. He is an Eagle Member of the Utah Association for Justice.
Paul is active in community issues where he volunteers much of his time. Between 2000 and 2004, he served as a member of the Cottonwood Heights Community Council. He was also honored with the Outstanding Community Service Award in 2004. He also enjoys spending time with his family, home remodeling, golf, fly tying, and shooting sports.
